It's Election Day, Go Vote!

Tuesday November 4, 2008

The absolute, most certain way for you and me to demonstrate democracy is to get out there and vote. Presidential elections only come around once every four years and the time to elect a new leader is now.

This year's election promises to be the most important and historic election in history. The potential of the first female vice president and the historic proposition of the first African American president, make this election one for the ages. It wasn't so long ago when women and African Americans couldn't even vote, let alone run for the highest office in the land.

Voter turnout promises to be the biggest ever so bring some water, a snack, and something to read. Depending on where you live, you may want to bring a folding chair as the wait may get lengthy. Do not be discouraged though, both sides need every vote they can muster.

Bring a few friends, tell everyone you know, and go to the polling station and demonstrate your right to vote.

Haven't decided yet?
